UI Design, navigation and content management of a large healthcare application. I funneled content from a large team of managers and analysts. Content was stored in a shared Excel document that was easy to manage and update. Constructed wireframes and navigation elements. I also designed highlighted areas for instructions, helpful hints and additional sidebar elements. Using JQuery, I used Expand, Toggle and hidden/visible sections to separate content and guide the user through the application process.

Family Office Exchange

As Web Editor, I maintained all of FOX’s electronic communications, including daily e-mails, events and webinars. I help to monitor several user groups for CEOs,advisors, family offices and wealth owners. Finally, I conduct user surveys, working with the research, marketing and IT teams. I typically sent out 2 to 3 communications a week, 2 monthly newsletters, 2 to 3 event invitations, reminders and announcements. I also comprised web event agendas, complete with user maps of the
event and surrounding areas of interest on the member’s sites, including last minute scheduling and changes.

  1. Navigation is done with a custom CSS and javascript menu that allows for quick updating with the addition of graphic elements or callouts.
  2. The main left picture window runs a Flash slideshow, scrolling through 8-10 images, updated quarterly. Each will link to its own page on the public website for more information.
  3. These CSS buttons link to the 4 Flash animations, outlining each of the audiences we hope to recruit as members.
  4. This section, updated monthly, contains callouts to highlighted features that need to be promoted to prospective members.
  5. FOX in the News contains links to items in the press. These are either linked to PDFs or to external websites.

Family Office Exchange Flash Pages

// December 18th, 2008 // No Comments » // Portfolio, interface design, web design

Using Adobe Flash, I worked with the sales and marketing teams to create pages to draw in new membership of Family Offices, Multi-Family Offices, Wealth Owners and Wealth Advisors. This has led to increased sales and public interest. I also updated the private welcome pages for members, often updating them daily with newsfeeds, event changes/additions and presentation materials from current and past events.

In 2006, I redesigned the website, working with the existing print design. I design sites that need to convey a lot of information in minimal real estate. I am aware of the different levels of user experience, while still trying to reach the younger wealth owners, our future members. A large segment of Family Office Exchange’s market concerns family wealth. Part of our challenge is to entice both with the advances of technology. The goal was to slowly integrate elements of social networking such as member profiles, shared interests, most popular site content. Eventually members learned the appeal of sharing your information in a venue that is becoming less private. The compromise is that all of this is being presented to a member base that is traditionally private.

Family Office Exchange Private Website

I also maintained the private welcome pages for members, often updating them daily with newsfeeds, event changes/additions and presentation materials from current and past events. (By using dynamic data, AJAX and XML, Weekly webinars, event audio, documentation and other materials were made available to members 48 hours after a webinar and within a week of an event).

Recently Added Publications are generated using ASP.net programming. A website administration screen is used to add publications, which dynamically generates this list on each members’ welcome screen.

APPlus+ Flash

For Applus’ 10 Year Anniversary, I created a Flash animation used by Applus to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. It was used during 2006 through 2007 as their site’s splash screen.

I also created a series of Dreamweaver templates using HTML, CSS, and javascript along with documentation and design user guides so that their internal staff could maintain the site on their own.
